The cabin has a full size refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, and a gas grill (on the bottom deck) with propane tank included. Linens, towels, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, and garbage bags are provided. Some general cleaning supplies are provided along with a swiffer sweeper, swiffer wet jet, and vacuum. There is no washer/dryer but there is a laundromat off Hwy 22. There are no closets, however there is a 2 drawer nightstand in the master and each bedroom has hooks on the back of the doors for hanging garments. We also offer complimentary breakfast items, snacks, Community Coffee, and a bottle of wine for our guests to enjoy. Sip your morning coffee from the upstairs balcony, relax on the bottom deck in the rocking chairs, or soak in the hot tub with your drink as you watch the boats pass. Our property features private waterfront decking and two boat slips. You can enjoy nature, fishing, boating, grilling, and eating South Louisiana cuisine. Take a boat ride or simply walk around the island to see beautiful swamps with large cypress trees dressed in drooping moss. On a good day you might see turtles, alligators, nutria and snowy egrets. A community pool and gazebo is available to renters. We have a BRAND NEW DOCK with 2 boat slips and a spot for jet skis. There are several bars and restaurants close by that can be accessed by golf cart and boat, Lagniappe's, Tiger Hut Bar and Rum Buoy's. Kevin's Seafood, Canal Bank, Boondock's and Hilltop Restaurant can be accessed by car and boat. Brian's Supermarket, Chris' pharmacy, King's Way gas station, Sarita's Bar & Grill, New Orleans Daquiri, Dollar General, and Subway can all be accessed by car on Hwy 22. Menus are available in the cabin. The cabin is convenient to LSU if you are coming in for a game but don’t want to be in the city. It is located about halfway between Baton Rouge and New Orleans. If you love to shop, Tanger Outlet Mall is in Gonzales about 25 minutes away and right across from Cabela's which will be sure to keep the men occupied. Malco Cinema movie theater and Premier Lanes bowling alley are located on Airline Hwy also in Gonzales. For antiques and souvenir shopping, The Cajun Village is located in Sorrento about 20 minutes from the cabin. This That and More Indoor Flea Market is also about 20 minutes away in Gonzales. We don't restrict access to the lofts, but we are not responsible for any injuries that may occur by entering the loft areas. Children must be supervised on walkway and pier at all times. We are not responsible for anyone falling or drowning in water. We've had recently added a bulkhead, new 12 foot decking and 2 boat slips. Renters must follow all golf cart rules. No one under 16 is allowed to drive golf cart. After you book your reservation, you will receive instructions via email on directions, where to park, how to access our golf cart, and the location of the cabin.

Enjoy the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway that is viewable from the living room, master bedroom, rear porch, deck, and lower dock areas. Our 40’ x 20’ upper deck and 120’ x 10’ lower dock is built on a sunken barge, extending into the waterway, making for a splendid viewing experience. So, when you are on the deck, you feel like you are on the back deck of a yacht! The deck, combined with the dancing flames of the fire pit, is romantic, warm, and delightful. Watching the tug boats pushing barges, that are sometimes hundreds of feet long, is both exciting and peaceful. Several times a week, you can even hear the live music from the Canal Bar, which is also on the water, about 750 feet away. The rear porch is also a wonderful place to watch the boats pass by and was designed to not restrict the breeze, as it travels along the water. A SlideMoor boat docking system is provided for 2 boats, and an underwater green night fishing light attracts bass, perch, catfish, redfish, garfish, drum, & crappie/sacalait. Use our cleaning station to clean your catch. Living Area The living area, in this vacation home, is fully furnished, with antique, long-leaf pine wall accents, throughout the home. Kick back, and enjoy watching TV on our 3 cushy, electric recliners and long leather sofa. Cozy up by our natural gas fireplace in the winter. Practice your Cajun cooking skills on our commercial Viking stove, with 6 burners. Enjoy a meal in our dining area that seats six, or take in the 180 degree view of the waterway on our spectacular porch, with a natural gas fireplace and Hi-Def big screen TV. Bedrooms, Bunk Room, and Optional Bungalow The Rock-n-Dock sleeps up to 14 people, with a king-size bed in the master bed room and 2 queen-size beds in the guest room. The Bunk Room has 10 Ft ceilings with 4 full, custom-built, adult-sized bunk beds, with plenty of headroom. Optional: A 550 sq. ft. bungalow is also available for an addition $125 per night, with a $75 cleaning fee. The Bungalow has a king-size bed, full bath, and kitchenette. With the Bungalow option, The Rock-n-Dock sleeps up to 16 people. See pictures 19-22 to view. Events The Rock-n-Dock works well for both large and small groups. The main dining room accommodates up to 6 seated guests, and the porch can seat up to 14 guests comfortably. Optional: A designer 45' x 22' boathouse is available for an additional $500 per event, cleaning fee included. It has an 18 ft. ceiling, with recessed, mood-dimmer lights and 835 sq. ft. of floor space, which is perfect for dining, parties, meetings, etc. The Boathouse also has a 4-ton AC/Heat unit. The air conditioner is large enough to use with the waterside overhead door left open, for a continuous water front view. The Boathouse also has a restroom, bar sink, refrigerator, 75" HD TV, 40 folding chairs & five 8ft folding tables. See pictures 26-31 to view. Provided are 6 outdoor receptacles, perfect for powering band equipment, tent lights, etc. 3 receptacles are on the deck itself. Utilize our 27' X 20' cement slab for your tent or a restroom trailer. General Description: Newly remodeled guest house with private access through side alley way. Detached building is behind the main house; you can come and go as you please. 2 blocks from Lake Ponchartrain with its walking & biking path. 15-20 minutes from downtown and the French Quarter. Accommodations: The full/double size bed can accommodate 2 persons. (Please note: It is NOT a queen size bed.) We do have a twin size air mattress if needed for a third person or a child, but obviously it is not as comfortable as the bed. No other sleeping arrangements are available. Bathroom has a shower. There is a window heating and air conditioning unit that can be adjusted to your comfort level as well as a ceiling fan. A mini-refrigerator and microwave are provided in the unit. We have a large horseshoe shaped driveway in front of our house for convenient off street parking of your vehicle. Guest Access: To gain access, you will enter through the gate located in the front of the main house on the left. Keys to the rental will be provided in person upon your arrival. You will also have access to the back yard and patio area. Interaction with Guests: The guest house area will be all yours. The main house area will be ours. For the most part, there will be someone home or we can be reached by phone. We are very happy to help you with questions about restaurants, directions or attractions. We have guide books and maps in the guest house, as well as other reading material. The Neighborhood: Our neighborhood is called Ponchartrain Shores. Our house is located just 2 blocks from Lake Ponchartrain. There is a walking/bike path along the shoreline. The French Quarter, Superdome and downtown are about 10 miles away. The Fair Ground Race Course (where Jazzfest is held) is 9.8 miles away. Clearview Shopping Center is about 2 miles away and Lakeside Shopping Center is about 3 miles away. Two grocery stores are within a one mile radius of our house. In case of an emergency, East Jefferson Hospital is about 1.5 miles away. Getting Around: If you do not have a car, bus service is about 2 miles away on Veterans Boulevard. Taxi or Uber service would be more convenient. Other Things to Note: We have 2 small dogs who will be in the back yard at various times during the day. There is basic TV in the guest house and we do have WIFI access

We're located on the edge of downtown Houma within walking distance to most everything. We are within walking distance to parades and festivals. It's only 4 blocks to Main St and 2 blocks to Barrow St. The Mardi Gras parades pass on both. We park here ourselves for parades. Our office is in the same building. We are right across the street from St. Francis Cathedral for mass, weddings, and funerals. We have a full kitchen - Refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, washer, dryer For attorneys, we are one block from the courthouse. You can meet clients and walk to court and meet here again during recess for court. There is a conference table with chairs, a desk, printer/fax available, WiFi. There are several restaurants close by including Christiano's, Milano, Melvin's, NY Bagel, 531 Liberty, Spigot's, Big Mike's, A-Bear's, Jolly Inn, and 1921. Just a little further but not far are Copeland's, Ground Pati, Big Al's, Outback, Ichiban, Osaka, Applebee's, Texas Roadhouse, Sicily's, Chili's, and more. Just a little note about the building. The previous owner was an attorney who is now retired. There was a house facing Wood St, which is the one you will occupy, and one facing Goode St. He connected the two with an addition in the middle, which we occupy as our office. We're not there much and there are rarely more than 2 of us at a time. We're very quiet. The house facing Goode St is part of Houma Downtown Guest House and is Suite 1. We are not sure of the age but believe both original houses to be over 100 years old. We have tried to keep some of the ambiance of the age with modern conveniences.
